News, features & insights from the world of SportsTech. Every Week.
That’s right, we’re moving to a weekly newsletter.
We started off as a monthly and then moved to to a fortnightly. But now realised that there is just so much content we want to cover. To do it justice, we need to increase the frequency. Expect to see us in your inbox every Wednesday.
For this edition, first up is a quick recap of September. Which we spent focusing on Innovation in StadiumTech.
Then onto our theme for the month, Innovation in CricketTech. Our opener is a guest article talking about the evolution of tech in Cricket. The sport might be relatively new to a lot of you so this very eloquently written and entertaining piece should set the context pretty well.

Cricket and Technology: A Time-Travel Through Innovation
It is often touted that in India, Cricket is a religion and that the best Cricketers are Gods. Given the generally pious nature of Indian society, a Cricket World Cup held in India would essentially be like a Divine Council meeting turning into the Grandest Festival of them all.
The 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is the 13th edition of the tournament and the 3rd time it’s being held in India. This is the biggest tournament in the world’s 2nd most popular sport. So merits some attention.
First to the crease in our Innovation in CricketTech month is a guest article by Sreedhar Venkatram, the Director & CEO – South Asia of Playmaker Labs. And of course a Cricket Fan. He walks us through the evolution of technology in the sport, a great place to start.
