First, let’s get straight into the dynamic lineup of guests we had for this series. 


Rohan Vyavaharkar⁠– Director of Marketing & Communications, Omidyar Network India

Rohan talks about his journey into sports, he gives his expert insights on the sports culture in India, various opportunities available in sports for Indians, and the future of Indian sports tech. We have a really fun and insightful conversation on everything about the growth of sports in India- how we can increase the momentum for the same by mass participation, how to accommodate different sports other than cricket which can be done by increasing media coverage to assist on ground growth, backing up startups & solutions trying to help with the above and much more- perfect start to our Indian Sports Tech series to give you an all-round bird’s eye view on the industry.

Siddhant talks about the origins of SportVot and the problems they’re solving, coming from a sports background. We discuss how the solutions SportsVot provides are growing in many nations, about their recent round of funding, and the success stories of sports technology in India. We also talk about opportunities in Indian sports tech and the growing interest/ investment for the same.

SportVot is an Indian Sports platform where you can watch local match live streams, highlights and emerging athletes.

Siddharth Raman⁠– CEO, ⁠Sportz Interactive

Asia’s first sports-focused data, technology and content solutions provider with over 20 years of experience for 250+ global clients.

Siddharth talks about his background and how he became the CEO at Sportz Interactive. We discuss the growth and success stories of SI, having led the game in India for 20 years now. We also talk about the evolution of the sports industry in India and its trajectory ahead., along with focus on Indian Sports Tech. A lot to learn here about navigating this complex sports landscape in the country.

Akshat Prakash⁠– CTO, CAMB.AI

Akshat talks about his journey to starting this innovative company. We discuss how ⁠camb.ai⁠ enables the world to communicate in any preferred language, including huge sports leagues like Australian Open and MLS. We also touch upon all the challenges faced in reaching these milestones. Akshat provides a very holistic and wholesome approach to entrepreneurship in sports and how the mamba mentality has helped with the same.

At Camb.ai, they’re building language models that are enabling the largest enterprises in the world to reach global audiences, with a major focus on live sports. Their proprietary models MARS & BOLI have been used by sports leagues, filmmakers and creators in every language.

Mustafa Ghouse⁠– General Partner, ⁠Centre Court Capital⁠

India’s top VC fund specializing in sports tech and gaming. Mustafa talks about the Indian sports tech market and the innovative, groundbreaking work going on behind the scenes, which led them to launch a ₹350 CR fund dedicated to Sports Tech in India. We discuss India’s bright future in sports, the 2036 Olympics bid, what Centre Court Capital has in plans ahead and much more.

Both public and private investment in Sports has more than quadrupled since 2020. Centre Court Capital aims to be at the forefront of Indian sports tech and gaming revolution.

We discuss how the Indian Sports Tech Ecosystem is growing, how that’s encouraging more startups, what the future holds for this industry and much more.
